Ceili: The monthly ceili in Halla Tadgh Gaelach, Tournafulla will be held on Friday, June 14th. The Johnny Reidy Ceili Band make a welcome return to this popular venue with dancing commencing at 9.30pm. Refreshments will be served during the evening and all are welcome to come along and enjoy the final ceili before the summer break.

Development Draw: The Limerick GAA clubs draw for this month will take place on this Friday night, June 7th, All subscriptions should be with the club co-ordinator prior to the draw. The cost of joining is €10 per month and with a top prize of €15,000 this could well be a wise investment, You can join for a month or the remainder of the year with the final draw in December.

GAA Lotto: The numbers drawn in last week’s Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA lotto were, 4, 7, 8 and 28. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Anita Keane, Eileen O Connor, Trish Murphy, and Gearoid Keating all from Abbeyfeale. The winner of the promoters prize was Mountcollins GAA. This weeks jackpot will be €1,400 with the draw taking place in The Goal Post Bar, Tournafulla and your continued support is appreciated.

Tidy Towns: Its preparation time once again for the Tidy Towns competition and the village will once again be an entrant in the event. With an improvement in the weather local residents will have an opportunity to give a good impression of their areas by painting their property, planting flowers and cleaning up their areas. Over the years the village and approach roads have impressed the judges and increased our marks consistently, so once again all householders are asked to help out.

Collection: The Tidy Towns committee will hold a church gate collection before mass this Saturday evening, June 8th. All donations are welcome and these will help to defray the cost of hanging baskets and flower boxes which are placed throughout the village.

County League: Mountcollins had a one sided victory over Hospital/Herbertstown in the county league round five game played at the local pitch on Saturday evening last. The local side led by 3-5 to 4pts at half time and ran out easy winners by 3-16 to 1-7. Mountcollins are away to Ballysteen in the next round.
