BACK IN MUNSTER FINAL: The Cratloe Scor Quiz team of Flan O’Reilly, Mike Thorne and Jim Enright qualified for the Munster final of the competition which was held in Mallow on Saturday night. They beat clubs from Cork and Waterford in an exciting contest. The final takes place in Templemore on Saturday, April 6 and tickets are now available.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE: Well known local personality and former member of Clare County Joe O’Gorman celebrated his eighteenth birthday with a party on Sunday evening in the Bunratty Manor Hotel. A huge number of Joes farming and political friends joined his family in an evening of celebration.

BLACK PUDDING NIGHT: Cratloe senior hurlers played Abbey Duniry from Co. Galway on Saturday evening in Gort and later appointed David Ryan and Ogie Murphy as hurling and football captains for the coming season. The club held a very successful black pudding night in Setrights later in the evening organised by John Crowe. Local publican Damien Considine presented the team captains with an attractive alternative set of jerseys.
