EASTER CEREMONIES: Holy Thursday, Mass at 8pm followed by exposition of the Blessed Sacrament up to 10pm.

Good Friday service at 3pm, confessions afterwards and again at 7.30pm, Stations of the Cross at 8pm.

Holy Saturday, confessions from 12 noon to 12.30. Vigil Mass at 9pm.

The choir will be on duty over the period of Easter.

DAWN MASS: On Easter Sunday morning the annual Dawn Mass will be celebrated on the Hill of Ardpatrick at 6.30am.

Summer time begins on that morning also, so an early rise for those wishing to attend, please allow about 20 to 30 minutes for the stiff climb from the village.

The Graveyard Committee will have the necessary preparations in place the altar area will be under cover, following the Mass the Community Council will help in the Community Centre where teas and refreshments will be available.

Note, no vehicles allowed to the Hill on the morning of the Mass, there is ample parking in and around the village. Also on Sunday the usual 10am Mass will be celebrated in the Parish Church.

NEWSLETTER: Well done to the school children for publishing the parish newsletter over the past weekend, copies were available in the church.

The children have been competing well in the sports area, the girls camogie team have won four of their four matches played and are now in the final to be played after Easter.

The Green School effort continues, drink cans are no longer collected at the school for health and safety reasons, but stamps and batteries are.

WALKS: Ballyhoura Bears will have a night walk from the Lodge Mount Russell on this Thursday night at 7.30, contact 085 7605268

From Saturday to Monday the club is on a trip to Wicklow, so no local walks.
