ANNUAL EASTER SUNDAY COMMERATION: The Annual Easter Sunday Commeration of the 1916 Rising will take place as usual in the Square Galbally on Sunday next at 3 pm sharp. The Oration will be given this year by Mr. Tom Sullivan from Doon. All are welcome. (If the weather is very cold or wet the main events will take place in the main hall of the community centre)

GALBALLY BINGO: Galbally Playground Committee would like to thank all who came to Bingo on Wednesday 20th March. Congratulations to all who won money on the night. A minute silence was held in memory of Peggy Ryan who died recently. She loved Bingo and will be missed by everyone. Galbally Playground Committee would like to offer their condolences to the family and friends of Peggy at this sad time. The next Bingo with guaranteed €300 to go on the night will take place in Galbally Community Centre at 8.30pm on Wednesday 3rd April. All proceeds in aid of Galbally Playground. Your support will be greatly appreciated. All are welcome.

COMMUNITY COUNCIL: Galbally Community Council of Muintir Na Tire are holding its annual church gate collection on this Easter Saturday 30th March and Sunday 31st of March. Your generous support will be greatly appreciated.

GALBALLY UNITED RESULTS: Tsdl Division 1, Galbally United 2-1 Two Mile Borris Fc

Another good win for Galbally that ensures we stay 2nd in the table with three games to go. Galbally’s goal came from the ever reliable Quinn Perry and a second half Borris own goal that proved to be the winner. Best for Galbally on the day were Pa Murphy and the outstanding Donal Halligan who didnt put a foot wrong all day at left back.

CAMOGIE: Galbally Camogie Club are hosting a Long Puck Competition on Easter Sunday March 31st and would welcome teams from near and far to try and win some fantastic prizes. Teams of 2 in three categories; Men, Women and Mixed. Entry fees €10 per adult and €5 under 16 years of age. 1st Prize €100, 1st in each category €50 hampers. Also each team entered in to a raffle at the GAA Club House where refreshments will be served to the returning teams. Registration 12.30pm, for 1pm start.

U8,10,12,14,16 and Senior training Good Friday 1pm. There are still some Registrations outstanding please bring it along on Friday next. Also the Easter Draw Cards need to be returned Good Friday, Lines from the cards can be bought from any club member or player at €2 each. First Prise Signed Munster Jersey or Signed Limerick Jersey.

A coffee morning to raise badly needed funds to cover the hosting of Feile this year will be held in Galbally Community Centre on Friday 19th of April, please come along and Support and enjoy a nice cuppa and some home made goodies.

Galbally Camogie will host a team from Carlow so it is hoped a big Galbally welcome will be shown to our visitors.

BORD NA NOG: Galbally Bord na nóg will hold a Music night in Abbey Bar Galbally on Easter Sunday night. Please support us if you can. All funds raised will go to promote under age games from Under 6s up to Under 16s

FOOTBALL: Well done to the senior team, getting there league campaign off to a flying start beating Mountcollins last Saturday, 1-16 to 1-5.
