PILGRIMAGE: Apostolate of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Celebrating the Year of the Faith

The first annual pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Saturday April 20th. A coach will go from the parishes of Ballylanders,Knocklong,and Glenbrohane,leaving Ballylanders at 7am.It will take in the neighbouring parishes on route .Anyone interested in travelling can contact Bridget at 086-7873743 after 7pm and before Wednesday 17th April .

EASTER CEREMONIES: Holy Thursday Mass at 8pm.Good Friday principal ceremony at 3pm.Stations of the Cross at 8pm.Easter Saturday Vigil Mass at 8pm.Easter Sunday Dawn Mass in the Village Park at 6.30am followed by a hot cuppa afterwards.Easter Sunday Mass at 11am only. No 9am Mass.

LECTURE: Kilfinane Coshlea Historical Society will give a lecture on Castles and Fortified houses in the surrounding areas ,Kilfinane,Galbally,Glenbrohane,etc in Ballinvreena Hall on Thursday night April 4th at 8pm by historian Joseph Lennon.A Subscription of 5 euro would be most welcome

VOICE OF IRELAND: There was great excitement in the Ballylanders, Anglesboro and over a wider area when Keith Hanley got through to the next round in the competition on last Sunday night...he got the highest marks from the judges and put on an outstanding performance. His late grandfather John Gallahue would be really proud of him.While all the performers are good singers it is the votes from the public that count.Your vote for Keith is very essential.Wishing him every success,his next performance is on April 7th..

FUND RAISING: There was a very good response to Daffodil Day held at the Day Care Centre on last Friday morning in aid of Drive to Survive,Likewise the collection held at the masses over the weekend and was well supported.In future all Church gate collections will be heal after the Masses.
