GAA: U-21 HURLING: The U-21 hurlers were due to play Pallasgreen last Saturday evening however this was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The game has been rescheduled for good Friday March 29 at 4.45pm. The venue is likely to be Caherelly and will be confirmed later this week via text and on our website www.kdgaa.ie. The winner of the game will qualify for the East Final which will be down for decision on Monday April 1.
JUVENILE FIXTURES: All fixtures are now available on our website. The U-15 footballers begin Wednesday March 27 against Galtee Gaels in Kilbeheny at 6.15pm. The U-15 footballers are back in action next Wednesday evening April 3 at 6.45pm at home to Ballylanders.
JUVENILE TRAINING: The U-6 to U-10 teams were back training last week on the pitch. It was great to see so many new faces on the playing and coaching side. These age groups will continue to train on Wednesday evenings from 6pm – 7pm. As always, new players are more than welcome and parents can contact any of the club officials for more information on how to join.
FEILE NA NGAEL: Kilteely Dromkeen GAA will be hosting a Donegal club for tis years Fèile nan Gael competition which takes place on weekend of July 5.
JUNIOR TRAINING: Pre-Season commenced for the junior hurling and football panels Saturday evening with Adrian O’Brien. Training continues this Saturday evening at 6pm. All players expected to attend.

INTERCOUNTY: Well done to Paudie Ahern who was involved in the Limerick senior hurling panel who defeated Offaly by three points last Sunday to qualify for the league final. The seniors meet Wexford in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday in their final league game. Best of luck to Denis O’Dea who is involved with the Limerick U-21 football panel this week. TheU-21 footballers meet Cork in the Munster semi-final in the Gaelic Grounds on Wednesday night March 27 at 7.30pm.
Sarsfield Ladies Football: We would like to thank everyone that came to our table quiz last Saturday night, it was a great success. We’d also like to thank Aherns Bar, Hanleys Bar, The Idler Bar, KDC Community Council, Kilteely Community Games, Scoby’s Bar, The Chaser, Tangles Hairdressers, Head to Head Bruff, Gel Nails, Beauty by Eimear, Finesse Hair Studio and everyone else that donated prizes for the raffle. All support was greatly appreciated.

Soccer: Our u14s will host Knocklong on this Good Friday at 4pm where they will receive the league cup as we have been crowned champions with two games remaining. Everyone is invited to cheer on this great bunch of lads who thoroughly deserve their moment of celebration as they have put in alot of hard work during the season and are now reaping the benefits. Our U15s were the only team in action at the weekend and minus four key players travelled to Murroe. Playing with the breeze in the first half we could not take advantage and went in 0-0 at the break. The pressure in the second half finally told and Murroe grabbed three goals but our lads never gave up and battled to the end.
Community Games: We extend our congratulations this week to Alan Dwan, Meabh McCarthy and Dylan Holmes who were all medal winners at the County Finals of Art recently. As Alan Dwan was a gold medal winner in the U/16 Boys he will now represent Limerick at the National Finals in May.In Model Making congratulations to John Egan who was a medal winner in U/12 Boys.
We also congratulate the Comedy Sketch Team who put on a wonderful performance to win the County Final last Friday nignt in Caherconlish. Many thanks to their manager John Mullane for both writing and producing this sketch. They now go to represent Limerick at the National Finals in Athlone next May. The cast are as follows: Dylan and Robbie Holmes, Eoghan O’Dea, Jade Mullane, Brian O’Grady and Sean McCarthy.
The group singers Shannon McCarthy, Cillian Ryan, Abigail Holloway, Niamh O’Dea, Niamh Hayes and Shane Dwane performed at the county final as did Jade Mullane in the solo singing last Saturday night in Askeaton. They were not among the medal winners but they performed very well.
This weekend will be a very special occasion as we will have children representing both our Area and Limerick in the Judo Competition at the Munster Community Games Finals in Tralee. We wish them the best of luck. The venue is the Sports Complex, Tralee and we will be taking on Clare in the semi-final with a 10am start.
