HOLY WEEK CEREMONIES: Mass on Spy Wednesday will be at 6.30pm inthe parish church and will be followed by choir practice for the Easter ceremonies. The evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated on Thursday at 8.00pm. On Good Friday the Way of the Cross ceremonies will take place at 3.00pm with confessions available afterwards. The celebration of the Lord’s Passion will be at 8.00pm that evening. The Solemn Easter Vigil will begin at 9.00pm. Good Friday is a day of fast and abstinence.

COMHALTAS: There will be no music classes on Easter Monday but classes will resume again on April 8. The Comhaltas SCT exams took place locally over four days from Saturday last to Tuesday.

The Co. Limerick Scoil Fonn agus Amhrán day will take place at Manister on Sunday April 7th and any of our branch members interested in attending are asked to hand in names immediately to the branch rúnaí. The day consists of workshops in slow air playing and singing. Consideration is being given to the holding of a Comhaltas Summer Camp during the first week of July if there is sufficient interest. Names should be handed in shortly.

PARENTS COUNCIL: There will be an Easter Disco on Easter Monday 1st April next, 7 – 9pm, organised by the National School Parents Council. The disco will take place in the Devon Inn and admission is Free with some spot prizes on the night. All children to be accompanied by a parent/guardian and everyone welcome.

MOTORCROSS: Motorcross enduro racing will take place in Kelly’s farm, Sugtarhill on Sunday next, March 31. This will be the second round of the Munster championship and promises to provide a day of exciting entertainment. An enduro race lasts for two and a half hours and the competitor with the most laps completed in that time frame wins. There will be considerable local interest in proceedings as a lot of riders from the surrounding parishes pit their wits against the best in the country. Racing begins at 10.30am and an action packed day is promised. For more info call 0878240716
