The winners in the lucky dip draw were Eileen Browne, Brosna, The Sheehy Children, Duagh, Ger Stack Rockchapel and Seamus Lane, Abbeyfeale. The winner of the promoter’s prize was Julie Murphy. This week’s jackpot will be 12,700.

Card Game: The winners of first prize at last weeks card game was the team of Jimmy O Connell, Necia Lane and Tom Lenihan. In the runners up position was the team of Dan Reidy, Dan O Connell and A.N. Other. The winners of the table prize were Dave O Connell, Kathleen Lenihan and Denis Flannagan. The door prize went to Sheila Breen with raffle prizes going to Eamon Sheehan, Pat Fitzgerald, Necia Lane, Denis Flannagan and Denis O Sullivan. Cards as usual on this Thursday night at 9pm in the Community Centre and all are welcome.

Halla Tadgh Gaelach: The next ceili in Tournafulla will be held on Friday, April 5th. The Five Crosses Ceili Band will provide the music with dancing from 9.30pm. Refreshments will be served during the evening and all are welcome.

GAA Lotto: The numbers drawn in last week’s Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA lotto were, 5, 9, 18 and 21. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Lilly Guiney, Tournafulla, Michael Murphy, Brosna, John O Sullivan, Glenmore and Padraig Walsh, Rockchapel. The winner of the promoters prize was John Lenihan. This weeks draw will be held in Keatings Bar, Tournafulla where the jackpot will be €2,800 and your continued support is appreciated.

County Football League: A depleted Mountcollins team were well beaten by a strong a strong Galbaly side in the opening round of the county senior football league competition which was played at the local pitch on Saturday evening last. The final score was Mountcollins 1-5 to Galbaly 1-16.

Mountcollins gave many young players their senior football debut and none could be faulted for their efforts. The winners led at the break by 1-9 to 1-2 and despite a good second half performance the local side were unable to reduce the deficit.

The Mountcollins line out was Batt Dillane, Eric O Connor, Sean Lyons Mike Dillane, Seamus Murphy, Jeremiah Moroney, DJ Gleeson, Tom McCarthy, Pat O Connor, Donagh Walsh, Eoin Moroney, Keith Murphy, Connor Moroney, Donal Gleeson, Mike Curtin. Subs Michael Lenihan, Jamie Lenihan, Diarmuid Gleeson. Mountcollins away to Pallasgreen this Saturday evening at 6.30pm in the next round of the county league. They then play Rathkeale on Monday next in the West Senior Championship in Knockaderry at 3pm.

Munster under 21 football: The best of luck to James Brouder and Stephen Cahill who are members of the Limerick under 21 football panel who play Cork in the Munster under 21 football championship in the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick on tonight, Wednesday at 7.30pm.

Boxing Tournament: A huge crowd turned out at Abbeyfeale Sports Complex on Saturday night to support the White Collar boxing tournament jointly organised by Mountcollins and Fr. Caseys Gaa club. The proceeds give a big financial boost to both clubs whose joint effort and co-ordination ensured a very entertaining evening.

All the boxers put on a great show after weeks of hard training, well done to all. Thank you to all the sponsors and all who helped in the success of the event. Well done to Jim Lane who was the big winner in the raffle with the proceeds being shared between Mountcollins Club na Nog and Fr. Caseys Bord na Nog
