Sympathy: The death occurred during the week of Hannah Collins nee Hartnett , Loughfouder , and late of Meenleitrim . Her remains were removed from Dave e Leahy‘s Funeral Home to St Mary’s Church, and interment was in the new cemetery Knocknagoshel . Sincere sympathy is extended to all her relatives and friends.

GAA: Knocknagoshel senior footballers made a winning start to their county league campaign away on Saturday last by defeating Keirns O’Rahilly’s B team. This team is well capable of waving goodbye to division five in 2013.
Kerry v Cork: Locals flocked in large numbers to Austin Stack Park on Sunday last for the clash of old rivals Kerry and Cork in a vital National League encounter. Kerry was worthy winners and it was most pleasing to see new fullback William Griffin perform so well in his first outing with the Kingdom. For the final game in two weeks time locals are expected to once again visit Oamagh for an overnight stop in the clash with Tyrone .
No Growth: As we await the arrival of the Swallows and the Cuckoo it looks like the winter has returned and grass growth has been very poor. Recent downpours of rain followed by severe frost at night have made for another late spring. Despite these setback cattle prices including calf prices are buoyant in the marts.
