WHAT an unforgettable fashion extravaganza we enjoyed in the Clarion Hotel, Limerick last Friday. The event was staged by Niall Harris, La Crème regional manager and his team.

Host for the night, Brendan Courtney, previewed this season’s hottest trends to a full house as well as choosing the best dressed lady.

The VIP event kicked off in style with bubbly and canapes in a private function room on the first floor of the Clarion overlooking the Shannon.

The evening’s winner of the best dressed lady prize was Sinead O’Brien, Limerick-based fashion blogger and soprano who left with a €100 voucher for the Lennon Courtney designer label plus a style consultation with Brendan Courtney.

A great night was had by all in and everyone left with a great goody
bag.

I HAVE always believed that when people come together, especially Limerick people, you can really make things happen. That can certainly also be said for the Limerick International Fashion Student Awards. From the staff in the Limerick Leader, Limerick City of Culture, Limerick Marketing, Brown Thomas, Adare Manor, Shannon Airport ,Hugh Campbell and the MAC Pro team - everyone has played their
part.

But I personally want to thank the hoteliers in the city, all of them have been so kind and supportive of this event.

Without all of them, these student awards which take place in St Mary’s Cathedral this Thursday night and which are unique to the city, simply could not have happened!
