BINGO: Bingo in aid of Galbally Playground will take place on 22nd January at 8.30pm in Galbally Community Centre. We are now offering a Snowball Jackpot. After 44 calls if jackpot of €320 isn’t won the jackpot to be won on the night will be €200. The Jackpot of will go up to €340 on 5th February. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Galbally GAA AGM: The AGM of the Galbally GAA club will take place on Friday night next, the 17th January. Mass for deceased members will take place in the Clubhouse at 7.30 pm. The AGM meeting will follow at 8.15. All existing members and new members are welcome
G FACTOR: Galbally GAA club will hold the G Factor, Saturday 25th January in Galbally community hall. This is a talent contest open to all ages and levels. So far we have roughly 10 contestants. Entry is €100, but each contestant is given a sponsorship card in which to collect there fee. There will be 3 cash prizes first second and third. Tickets for entry to the contest are €10 and are on sale from all gaa officers. This promises to a great night of music and Craic and any support you can give is very much appreciated. Starting on 28th January. Practical internet skills for beginners (including email; shopping online; motor – tax online; booking a holiday). Wednesday 10.30 -12am. Starting on 5th February. Cost €10 per class or €50 for six classes.

ENTERPRISE AND PLANNING MEETING: A meeting will take place in the Community Centre on Monday 20th January at 8pm. This meeting will investigate areas to be developed in Galbally in the coming years with a view to encouraging Enterprise. It will also look at other areas that would help our community in the next 3 – 5 years. One important area already earmarked for discussion is the need to research an improved Broadband Service for our area. This would definitely be a help to Enterprise and would enable many people live in Galbally while working from home. We look forward to as many as possible attending on the night to offer their input and ideas. The meeting is being facilitated by Galbally Community Council.
EVENING CLASSES: Evening Classes for Spring 2014 in John the Baptist Community School, 061 383173: Art, Digital Photography, Set dancing and Zumba dancing. Registration will take place from 2:00pm - 7:00pm on Thursday 16th January 2014. Classes will commence the following week.
