Baptisms: Saturday at 5pm or Sunday at 1.30pm (by arrangement)

Confessions: Saturday 6.30pm – 7.00pm

Monaleen Mass Times from December 1st: From 1st December weekend, Masses will be Saturday at 7.00pm and Sunday 10.00am and 11.30am (not 12.00 noon as previously advised.)

Remembering our Dead: Purgatorial envelopes are available at the back of the Church. Please fill in the list of those relatives and friends whom you would like to remember. They will be prayed for, each Sunday during the month of November and on each First Friday throughout the year.

Remembrance Mass: Mass for those who have died during the past year will be said on Friday, November 15 at 7.00pm. Anyone who would like their relative named at that Mass please hand in the name of the deceased to the Sacristy. Cantamus will be singing at the Mass.

Safeguarding Children : The Parish of Monaleen is committed to ensuring that best practice safeguarding children standards are being implemented so that we can ensure the safety and wellbeing of our children, young people and the adults who work with them. Over the next few weeks our local safeguarding representative Tom Moore will be contacting those groups in the parish who work with children to offer support and help. If you are involved with a parish group working with children and need advice about membership forms / garda vetting or other policy issues please feel free to contact Tom – contact number available from the sacristy.

Shoeboxes: It’s that time of year once again - time to fill the Shoeboxes. Each box should contain a Facecloth, Soap, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Hat, Gloves, and a Small Soft Toy. If desired, Pencil, Pencil Sharpener, and Small Bag of Sweets may also be included. Boxes for Boys aged 12 - 14 are mostly in short supply, we are asked to keep this age group in mind. Filled Shoeboxes can be delivered to Alison Godchild, Tel. 085/1203549 at Provincial Glass and Mirror Warehouse, Annacotty Business Park from 11th November for 12 days.

Fundraiser in aid of Monaleen Cancer Care: Monaleen Camogie have teamed up with Recipe for Success and some special guests to organise a fun event where people can test out their skills in the kitchen with some of our top stars young and old. Tickets are €30 euro each - the event takes place on Friday, November 15 18.30 - 21.00 and is a hands on cooking class at the state of the art facilities in the Recipe for Success cookery school kitchens in Annacotty. Proceeds go to our local charity Monaleen Cancer Care group. Watch out for more details on this event on our website in the coming weeks -www.monaleencamogie.gaa.ie

Monaleen GAA Club: There is a draft DevelopmentPlan currently available on the Monaleen GAA website (www.monaleen.gaa.ie/) outlining proposed developments for the area of land behind the GAA clubhouse which the club purchased recently. The plan is to develop a juvenile pitch and a hurling wall on the site whilst the Tennis Club is looking to put in new Tennis courts. Please note that the drawing on the website is purely a draft proposal but will give you a better idea of what the club is planning for the future. There are also plans to develop the Peafield Road pitch.

Playing activity is slowing down as we head into the winter months and some of the youngest groups are heading indoors for training for the next few months. Senior board and juvenile board AGM’s are coming up in the next few weeks so keep an eye out for the dates once finalised.

Club Lotto prize is growing nicely just in time for Christmas and stands at €10,600 Might be a good time to buy an extra ticket or two!
