FOOTBALLERS IN CO FINAL: After the disappointment of losing heavily to Kanturk in the Co JAFC final three years ago Mitchelstown Junior A side are back in another Co final. On Saturday night in Pairc Ui Rinn they overcame Glenbower Rovers by 0-11 to 0-8. It was not a particularly impressive performance by â€˜Town who entered this semi final as favourites. In the end they had a deserved 3 point win. Shane Cahill was in very good form with Fionn Herlihy impressing at full back. This Sunday they face St. Colmâ€™s in the Co final in Pairc Ui Rinn. CHRISTMAS COOKERY FOOD DEMONSTRATION: St Fanahanâ€™s College Parentâ€™s Council will hold a Christmas Cookery Food Demonstration on Friday November 15 in the Firgrove Hotel 8pm sharp. CHRISTMAS SHOE BOX APPEAL â€“ TEAM HOPE: Team Hope are once more asking your help in bringing some Christmas joy to the poorest children in our world. There are children in the poorest countries of our world who have never experienced the joy of receiving a Christmas present. Many of these children are orphans whose parents were killed in war or who died from illness. THE LATE JOHN Oâ€™SULLIVAN: The death occurred on October 29 of John Oâ€™Sullivan, Ballinamona. The late John was well known locally. Remains arrived at Mitchelstown Church on Wednesday. Requiem Mass and burial took place on Thursday. Interment took place in Brigown New Cemetery. There was a good sized attendance. To his sister Mary, relatives and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
