Our Parish Hall is due for demolition in mid November. This is the first step to building our new hall. The old Parish hall has served community extremely well for many generations.

Many people have memories from times they have spent in the Hall, people they met, songs sung, dances danced and many more. We would like to offer the opportunity to those that would be interested in a keep sake or souvenir from the old Parish Hall that they would make themselves known to Caroline in the community office before November 12th. Any specific requests will be treated on a first come first served basis’s

Fundraising for the hall, Our East Limerick Broadband is currently up and running very well in parts of our parish with those that have it installed very happy with the service, many others have stated that they will join up to our broadband but will have to wait until the contracts with current providers expire. With regret Kdc find ourselves in the position of needing to fundraise.

We have applied for a permit for a “400 DRAW”. we intend to run this over ten weeks commencing December 1st. for a weekly contribution of 5 euro, Each paid up person will be entered into the draw in which 500euro will be paid out each week in prizes, we would hope to raise in excess of 10,000 euro. there will be more details over the coming weeks.

The KDC will be holding a public meeting on Wednesday 13th November in Cill Bhride @ 8pm. We will outline the time frame for the building project of the new Hall, the proposed costs and matching funding, The grant from Ballyhoura. Also we will have an update on the East limerick Broadband and the 400 Card. We would hope that many might support this meeting so as be fully informed and that we would answer any questions in relation to the above.
