Doon Vintage Club: would like to convey the appreciation to all patrons, volunteers & sponsors of the recent Doon Vintage Gathering Show. €3,500 was presented to both Cappamore Day Centre & Oola Senior Citizens Fund. Thanks for your support.

Legion of Mary: Please note that both the day & time for the weekly Legion of Mary meeting has been changed. The weekly meeting s will now be held on a Tue. @ 4:30pm in Pastoral Centre.

Christmas Fair: Bilboa National School will hold its annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 17th November at 2pm in the Community Centre, Cappamore. This event is now in its 27th year and has always proven to be a very enjoyable day out with a huge variety of competitions and entertainment to suit all ages. There is something for everyone: Wheel of fortune, Santa, coats & handbags stall, bric-a-brac, cakes, toys, books, games, competitions, children’s entertainment and lots, lots more. All proceeds will go towards the development of the school.

Progressive 45: Card Drive continues on Sun. Nights in the Fr. McGrath Hall at 8pm. All welcome – Good Fun & Good Company! Winners 27th October: 1st prize: Ger Beary and Dinny Morrissey, Tom Carr and Canice Ryan, Pat Hourigan and Pat Hayes.

Dún Bleisce Historical & Literary Society: will hold a talk in the Community Centre on Mon. 11th Nov. @ 8pm. The talk “Sarsfield & The Heroes of Limerick 1690” will be given by Sean McNamara.

Team hope–Christmas Shoebox Appeal: With just over 7 weeks to Christmas it’s the perfect time to start thinking about filling a shoebox with age appropriate gifts to be sent to needy children in Eastern Europe & Africa.
