Special Masses November 9th/10th: On this weekend, 9th/10th November, special masses will be offered for all those who have passed away during the year. At the beginning of each mass a red candle will be brought to the alter by a family member or relative.
Seven Steps: The next seven steps meeting will take place in Feohanagh sacristy on Monday the 11th Nov at 7.30pm. All interested in taking part are welcome to attend.
Remembrance tree: During the month of November, the dead will be remembered and prayed for at all masses in Feohanagh and Castlemahon. You are welcome to write the name of a loved one that you would like remembered on a scroll card and place it on the tree, which has been erected in both churches.
Parish Annual Launch: In preparation for the launch of the 2013 parish Annual most of the material is now at the printers. The 33rd edition will be launched in the parish Hall, Castlemahon. We are delighted and very pleased to welcome the popular Dromcollogher Priest Fr. Michael Wall, Chaplin and lecturer at Mary Immaculate College, Limerick to launch the journal. In keeping with previous editions this years annual once again contains many interesting stories of a historical nature, all of the parish events, some very good photos and much more. Before the launch, a mass will be offered for deceased members of the group which will be celebrated my Fr. John Duggan P.P in Castlemahon Church at 7.30pm. All Contributors and all interested are welcome to attend the mass and also the launch afterwards at 8.30pm.
West Scór na nÓg Finals: On Sunday, November 24th, the west limerick scór na nóg finals will take place in St. Moluas Hall, Ardagh at 2.30pm. Feohanagh Castlemahon will be completing in a number of events. Best wishes to them and everyone in the West Limerick area that will be taking part.
Sincere sympathy: Sincere sympathy is extended to Carmel and Liam Quaid on the death of Camel’s Father Cornelius Kelly, Shanagolden. May he Rest in Peace.
Kitty O’Malley RIP: The death took place following a short illness in the regional hospital on Tuesday October 29th of Mrs O’Malley (nee Buckley), Ballinakill Mór, Castlemahon. Deepest sympathy is extended to her daughter Evan, son-in-law Donal, Sisters, brother, grandchildren Deirdre and Cormack and all her extended family. Her funeral mass was held in Castlemahon Church on 31st Oct at 12.30 pm and her burial afterwards took place in Deligha Cemetery Milford. May she Rest in Peace.
Hospice says thanks: The Sisters of the Little Company of Mary together with Milford hospice friends wish to thank most sincerely all who contributed so generously towards to annual church gate collection taken up before masses at Feohanagh and Castlemahon on Saturday and Sunday November 2 and 3. the amount collected in Feohanagh was €215 and in Castlemahon €255. Total for Mahoonagh Parish was €470. Special thank you to the collectors who braved the elements and gave so willingly of their time to stand at collection points. Renewed thanks to all.
