TUESDAY SOCIAL CLUB: The Alzheimer Society of Ireland hold a Social Club for people with dementia and their carer, in a supported environment, which takes place each Tuesday morning in the Woodfield House Hotel, between 11am. and 1pm. There is no charge to attend and tea and coffee are provided. Please phone Mary at 313456 if you would like to attend, or just call to Woodfield House Hotel on Tuesdays from 11.00 a.m.

ADORATION: 24 hour adoration of the Blessed Sacrament St. Nicholas’ Church will commence again next Thursday September 5. This Thursday evening there will be adoration until 11.00-p.m.

HEALING MASS: Mass of healing and consolation will be this Thursday 29th August at 7.00p.m.

VOLUNTEERING WITH VIDES Ireland: If any person between 20 and 40 years of age would like to experience life on the Missions for at least six weeks during 2014 please contact Sr. Dympna (061 348510) who co-ordinates VIDES Ireland—an NGO developed by the Salesian Sisters to offer young people an opportunity to experience life in a Third World country. A mission in Assam, India would love Volunteers from February onwards.

MILFORD HOSPICE HARVEST FAIR: This year it is scheduled to take place this Sunday September 1. The Fair is moving to a new location this year and is taking place at the U.L Arena. The Harvest fair Committee once again appeal to you for support in donating goods such as clothes, books, toys, bric-a-brac. All goods this year will be checked for quality before being accepted in order to minimise the costs involved in disposal of unsalable items. Items for the Harvest Fair will be accepted on the grounds of Milford Care Centre from Monday August 19 to Thursday 29,thereafter ONLY confectionary will be accepted on the grounds of U.L. on the day of the Harvest Fair.
