BEAGH GRAVEYARD: Thanks to Fr SEan and Fr Geroge for celebrating our annual Mass on August 19. thanks to altar servers Moira and Aileen, also to Mary Holland. Since 2012 the committee organised that the main gate need to be dipped and painted at a cost of €360.
In August two loads of chippins were spread onthe ground of the old church at a cost of €490 Thanks also to FAS workers who keep the green cut.
RUN/WALK FOR CANCER: Askeaton Sunday September 15 next a 5k fun run/ walk for cancer will start at 2pm at the Hall. Registration from 12 noon at the Ahall. Feel adults €10, students and OAP’s €5.
This is an opportunity to get out with friends and neighbours and workmates while contributing to the fight against cancer.
If you are not up to doing the walk, refreshments will be available at the Hall afterwards and we plan to have some entertainment also and it will be a chance to contribute to the fundraiser.This event is being organised by the Local Heroes group who are part of Askeaton/Ballysteen Community Council.
