Cappamore Show: The Show Committee extends thanks to everybody who assisted or contributed in any way to the outstanding success of the recent show. Recent Deaths: Sr. Francis Therese: Death took place recently in Dublin of Sr. Francis Therese (Sheila) Walsh. She died peacefully in her 97th year. She was a sister of the late Tom Walsh , Bilboa. She joined the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity in Dublin in the 1930’s and dedicated 75 years to the religious life. May she rest in peace.
Sean McKenna: Sean McKenna of Rosbrien , Limerick recently passed away. He was originally from Eyon, Cappamore . He worked as a gardener in Convent School, Doon in his younger days. When Richie and Eileen Leonard married they bought the house from Sean as he was emigrating to England, where he lived for many years in Shepherds Bush, London. He retired home to Limerick and lived in Rosbrien. He was in his 80’s R.I.P.
St. Ailbe’s Credit Union Bursary: To facilitate students taking up second round 3rd level offers, St. Ailbe’s Credit Union are extending the closing date for applications for the Michael Gill Bursary Award to 5pm on Friday September 6. The Bursary Award is worth €1,000 per annum up to three years. The Award will be based on the applicant’s efforts to actively participate in and improve their community rather than just focussing primarily on academic achievements. Applications in 2013/2014 are welcome from members who have joined before January 1 last. Application forms and terms and conditions are available in any of our offices and can be downloaded from our website www.stailbecu.ie. Last year’s winner was Jean Cleary, a former student at St. John the Baptist Community College, Hospital.

Milford Hospice Coffee Evening: This year it will be held on Thursday September 19. As in previous years, Cappamore Bingo committee will hold a Special €3,000 Bingo on the same night. All proceeds will go to Milford Hospice.
Bilboa AC: Juvenile Athletic training has resumed on Monday and Friday , &.00 - *.00p.m. Cross Country events commencing shortly.
