BASKETBALL: The Morning Star Basketball club are holding a registration evening in Hospital Secondary school on Wednesday Sept. 4 from 7.30 to 8.30 pm. THANKS: Michael Lundon, The Swans, Longford Bridge, wishes to thank all who attended his book lauch in the Swans. His history of the Lundons, Home and Abroad, is a beautiful read and is on sale at all local outlets as well as Limerick.. The very successful launch has boosted the sale of the book immensely.

Bord na nOg : Bord na nOg held a very successful hurling and football evening last Thursday. Over 100 children from 4 to 16 years of age attended and a large number of parents came along. Hurling, football, obstacle courses, crossbars challenges , goal and target games, provided the boys ad girls with entertainment which provided much enjoyment. The participants were presented with medals by Aaron Murphy who had the Munster cup in the field.

The next big outing is on Saturday September 21 to Trabolgan for the under 6, 8 and 10s. Coaching continues each Thursday from 6 to 7.
