Back to School: following their long and very good summer holidays, it will be back to school on Monday morning next, September 2 for all the pupils of Mahoonagh N.S. Wishing all the teachers and children every success for the year ahead and congratulations and every success also as they enter their new classrooms at Mahoonagh N.S. With thanks to the builders for having the classrooms completed in good time and thanks also to the Department of Education and the Board of Management as Mahoonagh now look to have a new National School replacing the former old Pre-Fabs.
ICA: The holidays are over so the guild will resume again on Monday September 2nd at 8.00pm. All members and new members are very welcome. A programme will be organised fort he months ahead both for guest speakers and night courses. Please remember the Milford Hospice fair takes place on September 1st, the ICA have a stall there, please support a worthy cause.
Milford Hospice Harvest Fair: Large crowds from Limerick County and many parts of Munster will be making their way on Sunday next, September 1 to support the annual 28th Milford hospice fair at U.L arena which is only a 10 minute walk from the Milford Hospice Care Center. Preparations continue and the Sisters of the little Company of Mary are very pleased and grateful to all who are helping with the preparations. A special word of thanks to all the kind people who have already sponsored items for the various stalls, wheel of fortune and also for the many generous donations. Again this year there will also be the usual attractive large vintage car rally for vintage lovers to meet each other. Milford Hospice aims to provide patient centered services of the highest standard for patients and their families throughout county Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary. To continue with the good services already being provided your support and the support of your families would be deeply appreciated by the organizers and the Sisters of Little Company of Mary.
WLCR 102 Car Boot Sale: The next car boot sale and indoor market will take place on Sunday next September 1st at the community centre Newcastle West, from 9am to 3pm.
