WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations to Shane Looney of Dromroe, son of Ann and the late Joe, who married Lucy Magner in St. Munchin’s Church, Knockaderry on Friday last. The celebrant was Fr. Willie O’Gorman, maid of honour was Claire Magner, bestman was Colm Looney, bridesmaid was Jessie McMahon, groomsman was Declan Reidy, junior bridesmaid was Lucy Claire Magner and the pageboy was Shane Cronin. The very pleasant reception was held at the Listowel Arms Hotel where guests danced the night away to the music of Joe O’Keeffe and John McCarthy. We are delighted to welcome Lucy to the parish and wish the lovely couple many years of health and happiness. Go n-éirí go geal leo.

CARDS: The winners at last week’s card game with 10 games were Davy Kelly & John O’Sullivan. Second with 9 games were Tom Purcell & Noel McCarthy. The table prize winners were John Joe Sexton & Aeneas Forde, Ger Collins & Mike Scanlan and Margaret O’Regan & Maureen Mulcahy. Raffle winners were Margaret O’Regan, Denis Ahern, Joan O’Connor and Eddie Roche.

GAA: The coming weekend we will be doubly engaged with the Junior B team taking on Feohanagh/Castlemahon in the West semi-final while the A team will play the same opposition in a play-off to see which team will top the group. Please check the West Board notes for dates, times and venues.

CLUB DEVELOPMENT DRAW: The September Club Development Draw will take place in The Central Bar in Bruree on Friday, September 6. You can join with any club promoter for €10 per month.

LOTTO: Does the Tournafulla/Mountcollins GAA Lotto hold a record? It has been running for just over two years and has been won on nine occasions. Well done to all the lucky winners.

CÉILÍ: The next céilí will take place in Halla Tadhg Gaelach on Friday, September 13. Music by Stríolán Céilí Band. Dancing from 9.30 – 1.00. Refreshments served.
