St.Senans Bereavement Support Group: Invites all those bereaved to a â€œHealing of silent Memories Ceremonyâ€ in St.Senans Chruch, Robertstown on this coming Wednesday 17th April at 7.30pm, with guest speaker Jim Oâ€™ Shea. Everybody is welcome to this Healing Ceremony, whether you have been bereaved recently or a long time, please come along and partake in this special ceremony, and stay for a cup of tea and a chat afterwards. Limerick West GIY: Limerick West GIY with the aim of inspiring people to grow their own food will hold its March meeting on Thursday 18th April @ 7.00pm sharp in D&M Garden Centre, Croagh with new growers and old hands all welcome. This months talk will be given by Chris who will speak about companion planting and itâ€™s benefits. We will also be our second seed / plant swap of the season so please bring any unwanted seeds or excess plants and who knows you might just pick up that seed / plant you have been looking for. There is no need to bring anything if you donâ€™t have spares and you can still take what you see during the swap. From June / July we will be taking Limerick West GIY on the road visiting some of the many interesting gardens of other members. If you would like to host a meeting at your garden let us know at the next meeting and a month that would suit.

Foynes Festival 2013: The closing date for the Powers Irish Coffee Championship which is held during the Irish Coffee Festival Weekend from May 31st -June 2nd is fast approaching so if you work in a Hotel/Pub or Restaurant and would like to compete for this very prestigious title dont delay in contact 069 65416 ASAP. Regional heats will be held in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Tullamore with the winner from each heat going on to compete for the title in June.

Shanagolden Community Council: The Good Friday fundraising card game was a great success. Thanks to all the card players who attended. it was lovely to see many new faces aswell as our faithfull regulars. A very special thanks from the organistion to the many local people and businesses who donated lovely tasty food items for the tea. These were much appreciated and enjoyed by the card players after a busy night of concentration on card playing. Thanks also to the hard working members of the Community Council who prepared the hall, served the teas and sold the raffle tickets on the night. It was great team effort, an extra special occassion was marked on the night also with the 97th Birthday of our eldest and very loyal card player Josie Finucane.

Camp Bosco: Salesian College unfortunately will be unable to run Camp Bosco this summer due to building and construction work which is commencing in July. For Health and safety reasons it will not be possible to have children on the campus durning the course of this work.
West Limerick Resources: Old & old-fashioned furniture (excluding sofas & mattresses) & old/ broken tiles & plates are wanted for a new Newcastle West based furniture up-cycling & mosaic-making training course for people who are unemployed. This training course will train people to restyle old but solid furniture so that it can be re-used. Pick-up of the furniture can be arranged at a cost of â‚¬5 per trip â€“ only usable furniture can be taken. Well done to Ian Ryan and Andrew Lane and the Limerick Senior Footballer who defeated Clare in Cusack Park, Ennis last Sunday, In Doing so they gained promotion to Division Three for 2014, They now take on Offaly in the Division Four decider in the coming weeks in Croke Park.
County Development Draw: The Club hosted the April draw last Friday night in The Old Stand Bar, Shanagolden. The club had no winner. The Club would like to thank Mary and Tony Roche and the staff of the Old Stand for there excellent Hospitality on the night.
