Cappamore Camogie Club: The Camogie Club are holding a Clothes Collection on Saturday 13th April at the Community Centre Car Park between 1p.m. and 4p.m. All Ladies, Gents, Children’s clothing, Pairs of Shoes, belts and bags. No bed linen, Duvets or Pillows. Fully supervised . Your support would be appreciated.

The club is also hosting a Disco in the Community Centre on Friday 12th April between 7.30p.m. and 9.30p.m. All ages between 6 and 16 years catered for. €5 per child. Shop will be opened.

Féile na nGael: Féile is being hoste by Limerick County this year. Hurling , Camogie and Handball are on the weekend of 5th, 6th and 7th July. Cappamore Parish will be hosting 2 teams. The Camogie club will have a team from Co. Cavan and the Hurling club will have a team from Co. Meath. It is hoped that the whole parish will come out and support this weekend. More details will follow later.

ICA: Cappamore ICA Guild will take part in the Drama Finalson Friday next 12 April in Kilcornan Community Hall starting at 8.15p.m. Theywill compete against the Ballyhahill/Loughill Guild from West Limerick.Everybody welcome. Bígi agus Fáilte.

Recent Death: The death took place of Marion Carbery(nee Quinlan), Main Street on 31 March 2013. Marion was a very active lady within the community. She was very involved in the Community Development Association and the Bingo Committee. She had a great love of music and was an accomplished dancer along with her late husband Phelim. She was part of the great rivalry in the 60’s and early 70’s between the Quilty Dancers from West Clare with their Caledonian Set and the Carbery set Dancers from Cappamore with the Ballycommon. She was part of an All –Ireland winning set dancing team.

She is survived by daughter,Elizabeth,sons, Peader, Tom, Séamus, Jody, Phelim and John. Also her sister ,Alice in England. Burial took place in Ballinure cemetery followingRequiem Mass in St. Michael’s Church, Cappamore. A Guard of Honour was provided by CDA and Bingo Committee on both days.
