Communion: Please keep on our prayers the children preparing to receive the Lord in First Communion, on Saturday, May 11.

play and pray: the very popular pray and play for children 4-8 years old will continue in Blessed Sacrament Chapel on Sundays at 11.30am Mass.

rathheale community arts and film club: The Philadelphia Story starring Cary Grant, James Stewart and Catherine Hepburn, is the next film that will show on Saturday, April 20 at 8.30pm. Doors open at 8pm so come along and enjoy a brilliant film.

red cross senior citizens party: on friday April 19. Tickets at only €5 can be obtained from John Dinnage or any committee member.

Congratulations: to Mary Duggan and Gus Lawlor, Rathkeale on the birth of their son Noah, a brother to Jordan and Nathan. Another grandson for Ned and Kathleen Lawlor, St Mary’s Park and a first grandchild for Paddy and Bridget Duggan.

Mick neville held a small charity poker game: with 14 family and friends on Good Friday night. An enjoyable night was had by all and 310 euros was raised for the Jasmine Unit, in St Ita’s, Newcastle West and 310 euros for the Butterfly Club in Rathkeale. Mick would like to thank everyone who contributed so generously on the night.
