The Adare U12’s played their first match of the 2013 season away to Monagea. Monagea played with the advantage of a stiff breeze in the first half and took advantage clocking up an early score of 1-2 without reply. The Adare defence and midfield tightened up to prevent any further scores for the remainder of the half. The second half saw a change in fortunes with Adare on the attack, scoring 2-3 to take the lead. A late goal by Monagea provided a nail-biting finish with Adare’s defence holding out for the narrowest of victories. Adare attacked from the kick off and opened the scoring almost immediately.
