SENIOR BADMINTON: Moyvane Badminton has had great success in the last couple of weeks. The Division 5 Ladies defeated Kingdom 5 sets to 4 in Castleisland. The team was Celia O’Grady, Suzanne Keane, Charlotte Fitzgerald and Michelle Corridan. The men were unlucky losing 3-1 to a much improved Listowel team. Moyvane team was Jamie Elliott, Timmy O’Flaherty, Padraig Hanrahan and Mike Ryan, this completes the league for these teams and unfortunately neither team qualifies for the finals which will be played in Moyvane on Friday next in Moyvane at 8pm. The mixed teams, Division 4 and Division 5 will contest the finals in Castleisland on Wednesday, April 10 at 8pm. Both teams will have Killarney opponents. We wish them both the best of luck. The Division 3 Final will see our team in contention on April, 15, opposition, venue and time not yet known, best of luck to them also. The Division 2 team defeated Kingdom at home also, 7-0 was the result and the team was Elaine Hudson, Saorcha Fitzgerald, Jeanelle Griffin, Pat Kearney, Donie Enright, Timmy Duggan and Denis Buckley. On Monday last the Division 2 team of Elaine Hudson, Carmel Hudson, Saorcha Fitzgerald, Timmy Duggan, Denis Buckley, Donie Enright and Pat Kearney defeated County 6-1.
