SEVEN STEPS: The next Seven Steps meeting will take place in the Sacristy Castlemahon on Monday, February 4 at 7.30pm. All interested in taking part are welcome to attend.

FIRST FRIDAY: Friday, February 1 is the First Friday of the month. Mass in Castlemahon Church is at 9am and Mass in Feohanagh Church is at 11.30am. Confessions before Mass in each church.

CANDLEMASS DAY: Saturday, February 2 is Candlemass Day. There will be blessing of candles in Feohanagh Church at 10am and at the 7.30pm Mass in Castlemahon church.

COLLECTION FOR HOMELESS: The church gate collection to be taken up in Castlemahon and in Feohanagh on this weekend February 2 and 3 is in aid of the homeless. Your support as always will be much appreciated.

ICA: The Guild will hold a meeting on Monday, February 4 at 8pm. Looking forward to seeing all the members after the Christmas break. The meeting scheduled for January had to be cancelled due to road conditions, lets hope for better weather from now on. See you all on February 4, when a programme for the next few months will be sorted.

PARISH MISSION – MEETING IN COOLYROE: Fr. Seamus Enright of the Redemptorist Fathers attended a meeting in the Sacristy Castlemahon on Monday night, January 21, and he spoke on the best preparations to be made for the forthcoming Parish Mission to be held from April 20 to 26. It was agreed in the interest of all parishioners to hold an open meeting in Coolyroe large hall on Wednesday, February 20 at 8pm and invite all parishioners in Feohanagh-Casatlemahon to this meeting to get their views in preparation for the mission. You are all very welcome and if you cannot attend it would be appreciated if you could be represented by any member or members of your family.

CONFIRMATION IN CASTLEMAHON: On Tuesday next February 5, 35 boys and girls from Mahoonagh NS, 5th and 6th class will receive the sacrament of confirmation in St. John the Baptist Church, Castlemahon at the 11am Mass. Since September last both teachers and children in conjunction with Fr. John Duggan PP have made great preparations for this special day. Looking forward to ideal weather conditions on Tuesday and a very happy occasion for all present. After Mass all the children and their families are invited to Coolyroe for refreshments and teas in the large community hall.

FOOD OF THE HEARTS:On Friday night, February 8, Deirdre Doody, Feohanagh will host Food of the Heart at the Courtenay Lodge, Newcastle West at 7.30pm. Proceeds will be in aid of the new Feohanagh-Castlemahon Community Hall, in Castlemahon and your support will be appreciated. Admission €10, children €5.
