SPONSORED WALK : A big crowd of cyclists last Sunday helped to make the Friends of Chernobyl a huge success. The cycle started in the village, taking in the Ballinamona route. It finished where it started and ladies from the parish provided refreshments for the cycilists.

ART CLASSES: Art classes for beginners and advanced students at the Honey Fitz on Wednesdays from 10 to 12 for a ten week period will commence on January 30. All details from Robert Ryan at 086 8812929.

HDA: Herbertstown Development Association will hold its annual general meeting in the Fr. Matt Ryan Centre on Friday February 8. This organisation has done immense work for the parish and at least deserves support by the attendance of people from the area at this important meeting.

TEACH CLOVERFIED: Enjoy a night with a difference at the Teach Cloverfield on Friday February 8 at 8.45 PM. The entertainment will consist singing and maybe a story or two. Singers and story tellers are invited to come along and if anybody knows an entertainer, fell free to bring him / her along. Admission is free and tea and hime made bread will be served. This night replaces the February Rambling House.
