When I look back now I was very apprehensive about my exhibition “Celia Holman Lee Style Icon” at the Hunt Museum, but my great friend John Mc Namara kept insisting and insisting that it would be of interest to the general public and the media; as he was aware that I had accumulated so many pieces over the decades.

I can now honestly say that it is one of the best things I have done in my career.

It was an emotional journey for me as each piece had a special story to tell and brought back so many fond memories. I never thought that the national media would be so interested in the exhibition, including magazines, TV3 and The Saturday Night Show on RTE 1 which I appeared on last Saturday
week.

I needn’t tell you that I was quite nervous but I found Brendan O’Connor to be so kind and so complimentary that I felt at ease straight away and was able to chat away about my life.

I would like to thank you all for your lovely texts and kind words .

I was invited to host an evening at TK MAXX Limerick and Clonmel last week, The event was their “Spring VIP Treasure event. The idea is to reward their loyalty customers. My job was to showcase TK Maxx Spring/ Summer season trends. As we all know that the store is all about value and I was made aware that their team of buyers across Europe search the world to get the best deals for their shoppers It just goes to show how popular their stores are as there was a great turnout on both evenings, and I found that the staff were some of the nicest people I have worked with.
