Club Matches: Our U-21s travelled to Martinstown on Saturday afternoon to face Galbally in the County U-21 “A” football semi-final. Pallasgreen started brightly with a shot from Duane O’Carroll going just wide early on, but Galbally took the first scores, with three pointed frees, before Eddie Gammell registering the first score for Pallasgreen. However some slack defending allowed Galbally in to score two goals before half time, to leave them deservedly in the lead at the break by 2-3 to 0-2. In the second half Darren Cosgrave showed some skills early on to get a goal and a point for himself and bring Pallasgreen back into the match, before Galbally replied with a goal of their own to virtually ensure the victory. Though Pallasgreen had the ball in the Galbally half for virtually the last fifteen minutes of the match they could not find a break through, their sole compensation being two further points from Eddie Gammell, to leave the final score 3-8 to 1-5 in favour of Galbally. Congratulations to the Galbally team on their well deserved victory, and best of luck to them in the county final.
