ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: takes place each Wednesday in Knockainey Church from 10.30 to 11.30 and for the winter months in the Sacristy from6pm to 8pm. All are welcome to come and spend some time during these hours with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Committed Adorers who are willing to commit to spend a specific hour in Adoration are needed; please notify the committee if you are prepared to commit to a specific hour.

PARISH SILVER CIRCLE DRAW: Draw will commence on Sunday December 8 with draw 1 & 2 taking place on this date, with final draw on Sunday December 29. Cost is €2 per week for five weeks. Please support this parish fundraiser.
KNOCKAINEY AFTERNOON TEA DANCE: the Christmas dance takes place on Sunday December 8 at 3pm. Music on the night will be provided by Checkers. This band was a huge success last year and many requested we have them back again. Join us from 3pm to 6pm for a festive day on music, dance, chat and refreshments all for just €5.00. Raffle will take place on the day.
KNOCKAINEY NS FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE: the final fundraising event occurs in the Community Hall on December 12 and 13. Fittingly, it is the children of the parish who will provide the entertainment with their long awaited School Concert. We are sure the efforts of the children and their teachers will, as ever, give us a night to remember.

LOUGH GUR 2014 CALENDAR: now on sale at Ryan’s Holycross and Nagle’s Bruff. This collection of 12 photos were all sent to the Lough Gur facebook page over the last year and features some beautiful photos of the area. Its an ideal Christmas gift for those living away from home. Cost is €10 and all proceeds go to the recent refurbishment project at the Heritage Centre. All support greatly appreciated
STARS, CHOIRS & CAROLS: Help set a world record and join a choir for a day! .Stars Choirs and Carols is set to take place in Croke Park on Thursday December 19th with the primary beneficiary of funds raised being Cliona’s Foundation. The church choirs of Lough Gur and Knockainey have agreed to join forces for the night as “Cliona’s Choir for a day” and are inviting people to join them in supporting this unique event, the brainchild of Richard Mulcahy, the Secret Millionaire. To help us we want YOU to join us on the night in Croke Park and assist in reaching our fundraising target of €1,000. The members of Lough Gur choir are holding a “Thanksgiving Table Quiz” at Reardons, Holycross on Friday night November 29th and are asking for your support on the night.

COUNTY LIMERICK YOUTH THEATRE: Members are rehearsing ahead of their production of “Punk Guerrillas” in The HoneyFitz Theatre, Lough Gur from Dec 6 -8. The punk music scene of the 1970s and how it inspired an entire generation of young people to “stand up and be counted” is the subject of a full-length play that will include a full cast of 20 youth theatre members, live music, comedy agit - prop and some audience interaction. Please note - adult scenes and themes in Purk Guerrillas. The Dynalyts Junior Theatre members will perform “the Pied Piper of Hamlet” on December 6th - 8th with performances starting at 8pm.
