Village Park: A big thank you to everyone who turned up to our Christmas celebrations in the village park over the weekend. To our many volunteers who helped out over the two days, Fas workers who put Santa’s grotto in place and took it down again. To Santa a big thank you from everyone young and old, hope to see you again next year. Christmas party: There was an enjoyable Christmas party held at the Day Care centre last week with an excellent meal provided by the voluntary staff. The evening ended with music provided by Dave Mulcahy. The next local Christmas party will be held in the Fir grove hotel Mitchelstown on Sunday December 15th for the Ballylanders community, names to be given in at the Post Office to Mary or Martina or members of the Day Care committee. Music is by the ever popular Duo, Mick Hoare \Willie O Mahony. Micheal Martin T.D. leader of Fianna Fail will be visiting Ballylanders on December 13 at 4pm approx. continuing on to Galbally and finally to Anglesboro at 8pm in the community centre where he will celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Liam Lynch and give a talk on same. All are welcome, tea and refreshments will be served afterwards.
