Ballylanders Sept 28

GAA: Pride of place this week goes to our Ladies football team who are through to the Munster semifinal verses Glanworth on Saturday week next venue to be decided. Last Saturday afternoon they took on and beat Boherlahan of Tipperary and ran out comfortable winners after a few scares early on but fair play to all involved never gave up and played as a team should with a never say die attitude and advanced to the next stage, roll on Saturday week.

Our minors very unlucky on Sunday afternoon last when losing out narrowly to Bruff in what can only be described as the game of the season. This was a south Final played the way the game should be with the thirty odd players giving it everything, all is not lost yet for our senior men’s team - the future look’s bright, a pity some of our seniors did not witness this game as they exited the senior championship the evening before in what can only be described as a very poor game.
