PUBLICATION: A book on the history of all the parishes in the Diocese will be available to purchase shortly. This book is a once off publication and will cost €20, normally would retail at €35. To secure a copy of this publication, please leave your name into the sacristy with €20. Please bear in mind that there is only a limited number of copies for Kilcornan. This book would be a lovely Christmas present.
KILCORNAN AFC: Underage Sponsored Walk; The Annual Kilcornan AFC Underage Sponsored Walk will take place this year on Sunday October 2013 6, at 12pm. Please ensure all underage players are supported in the walk.
Fancy Dress; Coach Inn (The Kilcornan House) will play host to the 2nd Annual Kilcornan AFC Fancy Dress with a live Draw for a €1000. This year DJEvan will play from early to late. A great night was had last year and this year promises to be even better, with prizes for best fancy dress and a raffle for super spot prizes its sure to be an unbelievable night of entertainment.

RETIREMENT: Jim McGrath, known locally as the Master, has retired after many years of teaching in our local National School and to mark the occasion a celebration night will be held on Friday September 27 at 7.30 pm in Kilcornan Community Centre.
Mass will be concelebrated by Fr. Irwin and Fr. Russell, followed by light refreshments and entertainment.
Pupils, past pupils, parents, friends, parishioners and former work colleagues are all very welcome.

The School Community would like to wish Fr. Martin Loftus the best of luck on his sabbatical year. Parishioners always enjoyed Fr. Martin’s homilies as did all the students in the school. We look forward to having Fr. Martin back in Copsewood in the near future.
WELLNESS WORKSHOP: The Limerick Federation of the ICA are holding a full day training session at the Day Care Centre, Drombanna on October 12 from 9.30 am to 5pm. Such sessions are being held countrywide by SOS that is ‘Suicide or Survive’ aimed at promoting good mental health and combating negative and destructive psychological conditions. COURSES: Coláiste na Trócaire, Ratkeale will conduct Leisure courses, 8 weeks in length, during the Autumn months. Courses will consist of Irish for beginners, Art with Agnes, Computer beginners, Computers advanced, Creative Writing,Traditional Irish Music.
