MOYVANE NATIONAL SCHOOL: Don’t forget the 5K, 10K Walk/Run this Sunday, September 29. Registration will be at 12 noon in Moyvane and the entry fee is €10. Come on, support your local school and help pay for the new football pitch at the back of the school which will be a huge asset to the pupils into the future. HORSE & PONY RACING: The long and proud tradition of the Ballylongford Races will be continued on Sunday next September 29 as the Annual Horse and Pony Races takes place at Jerry & Marguerite Moran’s lands at Lenamore two miles outside the village on the Moyvane Road, beginning at 1.30pm. This promises to be a wonderful occasion with nine races on the card with Ponies and Horses coming from all over Munster. There will also be plenty of side shows for children to enjoy. So why not be part of an afternoon of fun and sport by coming out for the Annual “BALLY RACES”. Asdee Races will be held on Sunday week, October 6. This will be the will be the final Horse & Pony Race Meeting of 2013 in the Southern Circuit and will be held on Littor Strand. A rather early start is scheduled here with the first race of an eight race programme getting under way at 12.30pm sharp.

LISTOWEL RAMBLING HOUSE: will take place in the Seanchaí Literary & Cultural Centre, The Square, Listowel on Thursday, September 26 from 9pm.
