Soccer Lotto: The numbers drawn last weeks soccer lotto were, 16, 22, 23 and 24. There was no winner of the jackpot prize. The winners in the lucky dip draw were Ann Horgan c/o Kostal, patsy O Connor, Rockchapel, Kit Doody, Rockchapel and Terry Brosnan, Mountcollins. The winner of the promoter’s prize was Brett Audsley. This week’s jackpot will be 12,700.

Ceili: The next ceili at the Halla Tadgh Gaelach, Tournafulla will be held on Friday, May 17th. Dancing will commence at 9.30pm to the music of Taylors Cross Ceili Band. Refreshments will be served during the night and all are welcome.


Summer Camp: The annual Summer Camp will be held in Tournafulla GAA grounds from Monday July 1st to Friday July 5th. The week of sporting events is open to boys and girls and registration will commence shortly.


GAA Lotto: The numbers drawn in last week’s Mountcollins/Tournafulla GAA lotto were, 1, 5, 7 and 9. Congratulations to Nora Lyons, Mountcollins on winning the €3,300 prize. Lucky dip prizes went to Connie o Sullivan, Newcastlewest, Joseph Quinn, London, Mary O Connell, Abbeyfeale and James McAuliffe, Brosna. The winner of the promoters prize was John Lenihan. This weeks draw will be held at Keatings Bar, Tournafulla where the jackpot will be €1,000 and your continued support is appreciated.


County Championship: Mountcollins senior footballers missed a wonderful opportunity of winning the opening round of the county senior football championship on Friday evening. The game played in Feenagh saw the local side miss several scoring chances in both halves which left Galbally winners by 1-11 to 2-5.

The winners led at the brake by 1-6 to 1-2 as Mountcollins gave their opponents too much room and allowed their players dictate the early pace of the game. Mountcollins played great football in the second half and but for poor finishing could have the game wrapped up by the final whistle. In the next round Mountcollins will play county champions Drom/Broadford.Best for the local side on Friday evening were Jeremiah Moroney, John j O Connell, Stephen Cahill, Bernard McCarthy, Pat O Connor, Denis Dillane, Sean lyons and James Brouder.

Birthday Wishes: Congratulations to Connie Brouder (snr) Riverside Drive, Mountcollins who celebrated a birthday with a zero over the weekend. He was joined by family and friends in Tournafulla on Saturday night to mark the important milestone.


Church Gate Collection: There will be a church gate collection in Mountcollins this Saturday night May 11th. All proceeds will go to the Butterfly Club which is based in Rathkeale and caters for children with special needs. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
