CARDS: The winners of last week’s card game with 10 games were Bridget Gray and Mike Jackson. Second with 9 games were Peggy and Moss O’Riordan. The table prize winners were Joan O’Connor & Bobby Mullane, Siobhán Flynn & Nuala O’Connell and Kitty Dillane & Denis O’Connor. Raffle prizes went to Mike Scanlan, Noreen Curtin, Tony Kelly and John O’Shea.

GAA: The Limerick GAA Club Development Draw will be held in Moore’s Bar in Doon on Friday night, May 10. You can join with any club promoter.

Lotto: The Tournafulla/Mountcollins GAA lotto was won for the seventh time on Monday, April 29 in Betty’s Bar in Mountcollins. The lucky winner was local GAA enthusiast Mrs. Nora Lyons, whose family is steeped in the association. Is it a record that the GAA Lotto has been won seven times in two years?

Junior B: The Junior B team gave of their all when losing to Feohanagh/ Castlemahon on a scoreline of 3-14 to 2-10. Scorers for Tour were Jamie O’Brien (0-1), Donncha McCarthy (0-1), Gary Vaughan (0-3), Michael Dillane (0-1), Timmy Joe Horgan (0-1), Christopher O’Connor (0-2), Liam O’Gorman (1-0), Eoin Lenihan (1-1) and Liam O‘Brien (0-1).

BIG WIN: The Tour Boys syndicate of Maurice Curtin, Neil Curtin, John Horgan, Christopher O’Connor and Niall Curtin had a big win in the quarter final of the Oaks Puppy Stake at Shelbourne Park last Saturday night when Tour Ali led from trap to line to win in a time of 28.58. Ali was returned at a big price and the boys arrived home smiling. Ali, trained by Shane Curtin, runs from her favourite trap 1 in the semi-final on Saturday night.

Hospice needs your support: The annual churchgate collection in the Milford Hospice will be taken up before Mass at Tournafulla church on this coming Sunday, May 12.
