Meelick GAA Club: Meelick GAA Club have called an E.G.M. on next Wednesday night at the clubhouse at 7.30pm. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the purchase of additional land close to their existing pitch. The officers have been working on this for a considerable time and they need to put their proposals to club members.

Meelick GAA Club: Meelick GAA Club have called an E.G.M. on next Wednesday night at the clubhouse at 7.30pm. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the purchase of additional land close to their existing pitch. The officers have been working on this for a considerable time and they need to put their proposals to club members.

The Annual summer “Cul Camp” will take place in Meelick from July 1st to 5th. Places can be booked at www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie or on the 1st day of camp.

Meelick are also recruiting coaches for all age groups. Anyone interesting in join our coaching team should contact Conor Dolan on 087-9371321.


Parteen GAA: Parteen Junior B hurlers recorded their second win in the league at Shannon when they defeated Wolfe Tones 3-14 to 1-06. Parteen GAA Club said, “ Parteen dominated in most areas and led 1-09 to 1-04 at half time. With the wind at their back in the second half, Parteen piled on the scores with goals coming from James Doran and Joe Cherry”. Parteen had a good win on Sunday last against Inagh/Kilnamona in the Clare Cup. Both teams were level at half-time 0-10 each. Parteen dominated the second half and came away with a 0-21 to 1-13 victory.


Successful fundraiser: Parteen GAA Club thanked all of those that came and supported last week’s table quiz. There was a great turnout with 30+ tables. The club congratulated the McGleenan clan on their great two point win over 3 second placed teams and 7 third placed teams in what was a very enjoyabale quiz night. The best team-name winner was “Let’s get quizzical”. 
Well done to all and thank you to all that provided a super selection of spot prizes.


Sponsorship: Parteen GAA Club has received sponsorship for the Senior teams from Ray McMahon (Daggers) and Paudie McMahon (The Library) for the next three years. Parteen GAA Club said, “ This is a considerable boost to the Senior teams in the club and will go towards equipment, development and kit for teams. Parteen GAA Club are very grateful for this very generous sponsorship.”


Parteen St. Nicholas Lotto Draw: Lotto took place at MacMahon’s Blackwater on Monday 6th May for a jackpot of €20,000.
 The numbers drawn were 2, 27, 29 & 30.
 There was no overall winner. Lucky dip winners were: Michael Goode, Ballyglass Ardnacrusha; Colm McMahon, Ballyglass Ardnacrusha; Kathleen Fahey, Fairyfield Parteen; Deirdre Hopkins, College Park, Limerick; 
Martin Quinn, Lackyle Ardnacrusha and Jamie McMahon, C/O Landscape House, Clonlara. Next Sunday night’s draw (12th May) will take place at the Meelick Tavern for a jackpot of €20,000. Thank you for your continued support.


Ardnacrusha Pitch & Putt Club: Ardnacrusha Pitch and Putt Club are having an open evening on Thursday, 9th May. Everyone is welcome to try out a game suitable for all the family. The open evening will take place between 6-9pm and clubs will be provided. The Ardnacrusha Pitch & Putt Club is located in the ESB grounds, Ardnacrusha. Membership is now available and open to all.
