ICA: The May meeting of Ballyagran I.C.A was held in the hall, Ballyagran on Wednesday, May 1st with President Nellie Cagney in the chair, she welcomed the members, Secretary Kathleen Cunningham read the minutes of the A.G.M. We discussed having speakers during the year, but nothing was finalized on the night. Competition winners were as follows: Betty Murphy, Sheila Carroll and Joan Cagney. Raffle winners included Mary Walsh, Joan Cagney, Betty Murphy, Biddy Vaughan and Nellie Cagney. Tea was served by Joan Cagney, helped by Betty Murphy. Competition for June, ‘The Smallest Book’.
