Art Expo: The Art Expo in Loughill Resource Centre at the weekend was very interesting. The paintings by the school children were exceptional. Many of the local people dropped in lovely paintings and drawings. There were some lovely pictures of Loughill Bridge taken over the years which people had enlarged and framed. Some of these were taken some years back and it was great to relive those memories again. One photograph in particular got great attention where you saw a flock of sheep grazing in the field overlooking the bridge in Loughill which was lovely. Some people were heard to remark “we haven’t seen sheep in Loughill for a long time”. Another very interesting photograph was the old ivy clad building in Foynes taken when the flying boat’s were using Foynes as their base.
