Pallaskenry Community Council: Pallaskenry community council are now due to hold to elections. Persons in the community council area over 18 years of age are entitled to nominate persons residing in the area to the community council. The nomination paper shows the number of persons in each election area to be elected to the council. For example, Church View are entitled to elect one number, An Curran/Rosschoill, 2 members. Should you wish to nominate a person or persons to the council, put their name and address on the nomination form. It will then be necessary to obtain this persons permission, by obtaining their signature. To ensure the continuation of the good work which has been undertaken by the community council over the years it is necessary that new blood come on board, with new ideas and enthusiasm. The recent refurbishment of the community centre is a great example of this good work, and the local community now has a great facility, which is getting great use by young and old. It is hoped the newly elected council will be operating by May. Nomination forms should be left into designated boxes in the local shops.
