Deaths : The death of Nora Swift( nee Fleming) Hillcrest Ballylanders occurred a short illness at St Michaels Nursing Home Caherconlish having reached an advanced age.Formally of Cullane Ballylanders,she was pre-deceased by her husband Bill.Nora was a very sincere,upright and compassionate person.Her removal took place from Ryans funeral home to the Church of the Assumption Following Requiem celebrated by Fr. Tom Breen P.P. she was interred in the local cemetery.She is sadly missed by her daughter Noreen,son Matt,grandchildren,son in law,brother Maurice ,relatives neighbours and friends.May she rest in peace.

The death of Patrick Sheahan Ballylanders occurred at Bruree Nursing Home.Paddy as he was known to his many friends was a member of the well known Sheahan family, Glenahoglisha . He was possessed of a very outgoing disposition.His removal took place from Ryans funeral home to the church of the Immaculate Conception Bruree.Following Requiem Mass the funeral took place to Ballylanders Cemetery.He is sadly missed by his sister Nellie,nephews,nieces,relatives and friends.

The death has taken place of Peggy Doyle at St.James Hospital Dublin in her ninety fifth year,she was a member of the well known Martin family of Knockadea Ballylanders and taught at Knockadea in the early years of her teaching career.She was buried in Dublin.Sadly missed by her sons and daughters,grandchildren,brothers Ben and Billy,sisters Kitty and Bridie,relatives neighbours and friends.

Voice of Ireland: There was jubilation and excitement in the Ballylanders and Anglesboro area when Keith Hanley Charleville won the second round in the competition.He is grandson og Noreen and the late John Gallahue former Chairman of Limerick County Council.According to the judges it was the outstanding event of the night.We wish him every success in the next outing on Sunday night next.
