Exercise Classes: Exercise Classes continue in Loughill Resource Centre every Wednesday evening from 7.00 to 8.00 p.m.

A Series of Talk: A series of talks celebrating the Year of Faith based on the Beatitudes will take place in the Parish over the next few months. The first talk will take place this Thursday night 28th February at 8 p.m. in the Resource Centre in Loughill. This talk which is entitled “Finding Christ in Brokeness” will be given by Sr. Helen Culhane, Director of the Children’s Grief Project.

Fashion Show: Tarbert Comprehensive School parents association will present a fashion show in Ceol Corbrai Glin Friday night 8th. March at 8.00 p.m. There will be a cheese and wine reception, raffle, door prize and spot prizes. Tickets €10 each.

Community Games: The art and handwriting competition will take place this Saturday the 2nd. March at 11 o’clock in Shanagolden.

The best of luck to the two teams from Ballyhahill national school who go forward to Mungret next Sunday the 3rd. for the community games quiz. The teams include Laoise McSweeney, Eleanor Kearney, Meghan O’Shaughnessy and Shane Cregan. The 2nd. team includes Paul O’Donnell, Aaron Murphy, Darren Murphy and Orlaith McSweeney

Lisnagry Annual Church Gate Collection:

The organisers of the annual church gate collection for Lisnagry would like to thank everybody who contributed to their recent collection which amounted to €190.52.

Caring in the Home Course: Caring for Carers are now taking names for the forthcoming Caring in the Home Course which will take place in St. Ita’s Hospital, Newcastle West commencing Thursday 7th March 2013.

Breast Check: The mobile breast check screening unit is located at Croom Orthopaedic hospital. This service is free for women aged from 50 to 64. To make an appointment freephone 1800 454555.

First Friday: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be held in Ballyhahill Church from 9.30 a.m. until 12.30 p.m.

Trocaire Boxes: Trocaire Boxes are available in the church porches. The Visit of the Relic of St. John Bosco to Ireland This visit will take place from 23rd February to 7th March. Bally Rovers Soccer Club: Bally Rovers have installed a Clothes Bank at the club grounds for charity. The charity is Dochas Nasamu, which is a children’s home in Kenya. Items accepted are Clothes, Sheets, Towels, Blankets, Shoes and Curtains. No soiled items please. Items can be dropped at the field during training or matches, as the gate is locked. Any other time, if unable to get past the gate, items can be dropped to the two nearest club member’s homes, namely Oliver Curtin or Declan Looney. You can also contact any club member, to arrange to have the gate open at a time to suit you. Please support this worthwhile charity.

GAA Meeting: Gerald Griffin’s GAA club will hold their next meeting in the clubhouse 13th. March at 8.00 p.m.
