RECENT DEATHS: MRS Lillie Crotty, Colmanswell was called to her eternal reward this past weekend after a short illness. After requiem Mass in Colmanswell Church, Lillie was laid to rest in Colmanswell cemetery. Lillie is deeply mourned by her loving husband Mike, son Paul and daughter Marie and extended family, neighbours and friends.
The death also took place at her home on Friday, February 22 of Mrs Kit McGrath, wife of the late Ned, removal took place on Saturday night from Bennis’s Funeral Home to St. Michael’s Church, Ballyagran. After requiem Mass on Sunday, burial took place to Castletown Cemetery. Kit as she was know to all her friends and neighbours is deeply mourned by her daughter Kathleen, son John, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
THANKS: St. Joseph’s Foundation say a sincere thank you to all who supported their recent Church gate collection. €571.72 was collected in Ballyagran, €150.50 was collected in Colmanswell. A big thank you to all concerned.
ICA: The next meeting of Ballyagran ICA will be held on Wednesday, March 6. Competition – “a pin cushion”.
THE WITNESS: The Witness, a musical by Carol and Jimmy Owens, The Witness is the story of Jesus, told and sung by Peter and the other men and women who know the master best, it features a great cast coordinated by Fr. Terry Loughran.
“The Witness” a musical, will be presented by the Diocese of Limerick, in the Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick on Friday and Saturday, March 8 and 9 at 8pm. This production which is being staged just before Easter is an ideal opportunity for parishes, youth groups, as well as individuals to participate in a meaningful and relevant way in the Year of the Faith and to enter into the spirit of the season of preparation for the events of Holy Week.
