FUN QUIZ: Donoughmore national school are holding a family fun table quiz on Sunday March 3 at 4.pm in the Four Elms. Two adults and two children per table at a cost of €20.

ATHLETIC SUCCESS: At the opening of the fantastic sports arena in Athlone recently Jenna Bromell secured second place in the 400 metres. Jenna a past pupil at Knockea school is destined to be a household name in the athletic world as she is competing every week at the highest level.

TRIPLE CROWN: Gillian Bourke, Scart, had her greatest sporting moment last Saturday when she helped Ireland Ladies Rugby team to clinch the Triple Crown for the first time with victory over Scotland away and known she can look forward to the Rugby World Cup in France. Gillian joins Paul O’ Connell and Marcus Horan as local rugby heroes. Well done Gillian.
