I WAS truly delighted and humbled to be honoured with the lifetime achievement award at the glittering Limerick Person of the Year Awards 2013 which took place on Tuesday at the Clarion Hotel.

The event which is organised annually by the Limerick Leader, media agency Southern and the Clarion Hotel is a real proud occasion for Limerick and an opportunity to recognise all that is great about the place I love to call
home.

I was delighted to meet and congratulate all the outstanding nominees on their achievements in particular Fergal Deegan, Tony Brazil, Joan MacKernan and, of course, the 2013 Limerick Person of the Year, Donal Ryan, who wrote the incredible novel The Spinning Heart.

It was an extremely enjoyable afternoon, the Clarion pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable day for everybody. My family and friends who attended on the day were all very proud of my award.

I personally want to thank everybody in the fashion industry in Limerick city and county for the support they have shown throughout the years - it’s a journey I have taken with all of you. And I sincerely want to thank the organisers - the Leader, Southern and the Clarion
Hotel.

On another note, I will be back in Brown Thomas Limerick this Saturday from 12pm to 4pm for a Fran & Jane
workshop.

Hope to see you
there!
