MENTAL HEALTH: You can encourage people to have meaningful conversations about mental health and raise funds for Aware’s nationwide support services. Hosting a tea party or coffee morning could help your friends or colleagues to understand more about mental health and most importantly how to get help if they or someone they love is experiencing a problem. Remember, ‘a problem shared is a problem halved’. You can get involved in the conversation on January 30 and 31, 2014. All you have to do is get together a group of friends, family or colleagues, put the kettle on and invite them to make a donation to Aware - it’s as simple as that! You can register your event at http://www.aware.ie/fundraising/its-time-to-talk-about-mental-health/ or contact Monica McKenna, Development Officer, Ballyhoura Development Ltd. Unit 4, High Street Caherconlish, Co. Limerick, at 061 450074.
