BEREAVEMENT: Anne Hickey, Carrigmartin and formerly of Rhebogue, has passed away. Nee McNamara, she is survived by her husband Larry, sons Larry, Dermot, Robert, Ciaran and daughter Annemarie. Sisters Mary, Noreen and Christina, son in law, daughters in law and relatives and a large circle of friends. Her funeral Mass was at St. Patrick’s church and interment in Castlemungret cemetery. Sincere sympathy is extended to her family.

ALL STAR: The elevation of Richie McCarthy, Blackrock, to an All Star hurling award last week was highly received but he was not the only Limerick man to be honoured. Anthony Nash, who began his hurling exploits with South Liberties under 14 team earned his second goal keeping award on the same evening. Of course Anthony is now playing with Kanturk and Cork.

HISTORICAL OPENING: On Friday November 22 the the history panels in the quarter sessions will be officially opened by Tom O’ Donovan. Everybody in the district are invited to come along at 8.00pm.
