LEGAL CLINIC: The next free legal advice clinic will be held on Monday November 25 at the community office from 5.15pm to 5.45pm Please attend at 5.15pm to ensure being seen by a solicitor. No appointment to necessary.

GOLF CLUB: Shannon Golf Clubs AGMS as follows: Ladies Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday, November 18 in the Clubhouse. Men’s Club Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 19 November at 8pm in the clubhouse. The Joint Club Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 11 at 8pm in the Clubhouse.

MONTHS MIND: The months mind mass for Friday at 7pm for Susan Byrne, De Lacey Park. Sunday at 11 am for Patricia McCrohan, Fergus Road and Breda O’Hanlon, Corrib Drive.

SPORTS PARTNERSHIP: The Clare Sports Partnership group meet at the Car park at Illaunamanagh Graveyard on Tuesdays at 6.30pm (must be able to run 3 miles already - speed not an issue. Contact: Denise 087 9699944.

CHURCH CHOIR: The Adult Choir at SS John and Paul church meet on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm for choir practice.

SET DANCINC: St Senan’s Social Club hold set dancing classes every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in The Bellsfort Inn. Mike Mahony is the tutor for the classes. Everyone is welcome, from beginners to advanced dancers. Enjoy.

SCIFI: The University of Limerick will host a SciFi community event in the Milk Market, Limerick City on this Saturday as part of Science week 2013 with the outdoor screening of “Back to the Future”. The event is free and kicks off at 5.50pm in the Milk Market. All are welcome.

YOUTH WORK: Bryan McMahon from Tullyglass has been appointed to the board of Youth Work Ireland. Currently he is leader in charge of Skyview Youth Club which operates from Rineanna View Hall.

COUNSELLING: A low cost confidential counselling service is available every Wednesday morning at 10am in the Shannon Family Resouce Centre.

FIRST COMMUNION: The First Communion Preparation Mass for St. Aidan’s School will be in SS John & Paul Church on Sunday morning at 10am. And for the children of St Senan’s School in in Mary Immaculate Church also on Sunday at 11am.

BLESSING: The blessing of expectant mothers will take place in the Jubilee Chapel on November 20 at 9pm.

WOLFE TONES: Wolfe Tones are holding a Celebration night for all the Juvenile County Finalists teams of 2013 on Friday night November 22. Both the Liam McCarthy and U21 Trophies will be on display and also players from both Clare’s All-Ireland winning teams will be there on the night.

BASKETBALL: Shannon Phoenix Basketball Club, for ages 16 and up, has resumed training at the Leisure Centre each Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm. New members are always welcome.

CLARE CRAFTS: Clare Crafts are holding their annual Christmas Craft Fair in Bunratty Castle Hotel on Sunday 24 November from 11ams. All crafts are made in Ireland. Please support local craft workers. Admission is free.

REMEMBRANCE MASS: The Annual Mass for those who have died in the past year in the parish will be held in St. Patrick’s Comprehensive School at 7.30pm on Monday November 18.

RECENT WEDDINGS: Congratulations to Mark Regan, Drumline and Lindsay Slattery, Ennis, who were married in Clarecastle last week.
